Review
Registry Tweak is a small utility that enables the novice Windows user to perform several tweaks to Windows via the modification of several registry keys. Each modification (tweak) is well documented and explained (you can retrieve a detailed information about what the tweak does, if you enabled it, etc).
At program startup, from the Tweak Explorer, you can select more than one tweak from a categorized list, like a tree (ex. Microsoft Office => Office 2003 => Word => Disable ClearType...) and apply all of them together.
But this is just one of the many features that this software offers: what comes to single tweaks, you can track all your changes applied, revert them, and/or save them under profiles! Very useful for the extreme power users...
But there is even more!
* The Internet Explorer Security Tool applies some registry tweaks in order to block cookies, domains and ActiveX controls from popular anti-spyware databases (like SpyBot and Spyware Blaster)
* A registry backup tool
* A startup manager tool (see what programs are executed at system startup and avoids this)
* And even more and more: system information, registry file, Windows XP key changer...
In my humble opinion, this tool is very promising: simple, lightweight yet powerful and effective! And the best of all, the tweak database is updated very often to get the most of our Windows installation. |
